12-Bit
Data Acquisition
System -200kHz Sampling
Software for the DAQ-12
includes Quatechs 32-bit DAQDRIVE which supports Microsoft
C/C++, Borland C/C++, QuickBasic, Turbo Pascal, Vichyssoise and
various other programming languages. Dynamic Link Libraries are
provided as a universal programming interface for development languages
targeted for Microsoft Windows. Quatech's DaqEZ user friendly data
acquisition software package is included, as are drivers which interface
to Labtech Notebook, LabView,TestPoint, and SnapMaster. Quatech's
VISUALDAQ, Visual Basic controls, is available as an option. |
The DAQ-12 is a complete
12-bit data acquisition system consisting of eight differential
or 16 single-ended analogue input channels, two 12-bit analogue
output channels, four digital input channels, four digital output
channels and three 16-bit programmable timer/counters. The analogue
input ranges from +/-1OmV to +/- 1OV in bipolar mode, or 0 to +20mV
and 0 to +1OV in unipolar mode with programmable gain of 1, 2, 4,
8, 10, 100, 500, or 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 5, 50, 250.
The analogue output has
a unipolar range from 0 to 5 volts and a bipolar range of +/- 5V.
The DAQ-12 supports data acquisition beyond the normal 64K DMA boundary
with two alternating DMA channels. The maximum sampling rate for
A/D input is 20OkHz, while the fastest data rate for D/A output
is greater than 20OkHz.
The DAQ-12 occupies one
expansion slot. Base address selection allows the DAQ-12 to be installed
at any available I/0 address without any conflict with presently
installed devices. The interrupt level may be selected from IRQ
2-7, 10-12, 14, and 15, All connections to the outside world are
achieved via a shielded 62-pin D-shell high density connector.

12-Bit
Data Acquisition
System 100kHz Sampling
The DAQP-12 PCMCIA
data acquisition adapter provides eight differential or 16 single-ended
analogue input channels, expendable to 256 with input expansion
adapters. Its bipolar input range extends from +/- 0.625V (gain
of 8,) to +/-5V (gain of 1).
|
Programmable gains are
in steps of 1, 2, 4, and 8. A high gain option providing gains of
1, 10, 100 and 1000 is also available. The DAQP-12 supports sampling
rates of up to 100kHz at 12-bit resolution-
Equiped with a 2K Data
FIFO, the DAQP-12 can achieve full speed data acquisition under
Windows 95. It also has a 2048 entry Scan FIFO which supports full
speed random order channel scanning and gain selection. Compared
with other manufacturers cards providing smaller Fifos, the DAQP-12
significantly reduces CPU overhead.
The DAQP-12 has a 24-bit
pacer clock (programmable by a divisor of 8 or a prescaler of 64)
which can be used with an external clock source. With the 5MHz internal
clock source, the pacer clock can generate accurate sampling rates
from 0,01 Hz to 100kHz. The DAQP-12 also has eight digital input/output
channels, each of which are TTL compatible and may be used for control
or monitoring.
A PCMCIA client driver is provided for use with Microsoft Windows
3.1, as is an INF file for Windows 95
